2014 Banner

Hey Guys

We had a great week with Wasabi.  Qualified and finished up 4 places and 6 mph from last year.  Had the fantastic opportunity to fly "in the pack" all week which meant for great opportunities to learn.

A huge thank you to our sponsors and team

Linear Pots and Data Logging

Hey Guys

Been having some really good luck with these linear pots $2.95 from Sparkfun.  I was introduced to these particular pots by Justin Gillen who was using them for measuring pitch loop position while doing the initial envelope expansion on his Tango II.  We have been using them alot and have had particularly good luck running the signal through our MGL RDAC.  Our MGL automatically datalogs the pot's position for post flight data processing.  We have the channel labeled as a current meter using the auxiliary input.

Note: Also pictured are the rotary potentiometer $0.95 also from Sparkfun.

MGL Customer Support

Hey Guys

Operator error led to some trouble with our MGL equipment.  Those guys have some great customer support.  We had parts for troubleshooting on the bench in 2 days.

Thank you MGL!

RARA 90 day rule

Hey Guys

I am sure everyone has heard already about the new RARA 90 day rule.  This rule requires any major mods or new aircraft to complete phase one testing (5 or 40 hours) and demonstrate test points at race conditions (Speed, G, and RPM) 90 days prior to the event in September, or June 1st.

We are happy to announce; thanks to the unwaivering support of our sponsors and fans, that flight testing is complete and the associated report was submitted on May 30th, ahead of schedule.

Good news for the team, and for our participation in Reno 2013.

Please take some time to visit our sponsors listed below.
