Home of Wasabi Air Racing

Elliot Seguin and Jenn Whaley's Formula One class air race team based out of Mojave, California. Pylon racing at the National Championship Air Races in Reno Nevada. Eight airplanes racing head to head around telephone poles in the desert. Mojave is the best place on the planet to build and modify a race plane, and Wasabi is lucky to have the best support in the business.

IOL-200 Cylinder

Hey Guys

Oh the things that you find in Mojave.  We were jamming on an EZ that is getting ready to leave for Oshkosh last night and found this IOL-200 cylinder (see below) in a corner of the hanger.  To be fair, it was Dick's hangar and the EZ was Old Blue, one of the round the world EZ's.  But nonetheless, its cool that the other 4 in existence are in a little museum in the capital.

Makes me feel like a weenie for the silly mods we do to our O-200s in the formula class.

What are you working on tonight?

This old homebuilt ended up in the background of a picture we took in DC.

East coast trip

Got a chance to visit a very special airplane and some very special people while we were back east for a wedding.  Checked on the DR-90  and it is safe and sound in DC, and got a chance to sit down with fighter mafia man Pierre Sprey.
A great place to keep a speedy homebuilt, the DR90 at the Hazy center
