Eight airplanes racing head to head around telephone poles in the desert. Len Fox's Kneeboard

I got the chance to do some work with Len Fox over the weekend, who is awesome.  He had the most bitchin tiny homemade kneeboard.  The board is built out of a piece of aluminum sheet slighty undersized with a potato chip bag style jumbo paper riveted to it.  The piece that is missing from the pictures below is the very simple elastic he uses to hold it to his leg in flight.  The result is effective, compact and even looks good.  Very cool!
