A trip to visit Arnold Ebneter

Hey Guys,

Jenn and I got the opportunity last week to speak at EAA chapter 84 in Snohomish Washington.  It was fantastic to visit another healthy EAA chapter with great people excited about designing, building, and modifying airplanes.

While we were there we got to spend some time with world record holder Arnold Ebneter, and see his airplane the E-1.  Both the airplane and Arnold are fantastic, we'll have more photos shortly but in the meantime here are a couple of our favorites.

This is the control stick made out of a Snap-On screwdriver.  I couldn't help but think of the 1/4" ratchet in the panel of a long-ez or the mag-light in the panel of the NXT.  Also note the valves required to access fuel in the 6 wing fuel tanks.
